The Central Financial Team Associate is experienced in all resident financial and auditing activities in the multifamily industry. This role will have a major impact in each community’s revenue and occupancy. The Central Financial Team Associate must promote efficiencies and competitive advantage by developing procedures and personnel skills across the multifamily platform.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain resident accounts in the Property Management Systems and perform detailed account research to ensure timely and accurate postings of billings.
  • Process all financial move-outs and ledger adjustments insuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness that underlie a best in class customer experience and reduce overall risk for the company.
  • Communicate and respond to all financial questions regarding financial move-outs.
  • Process all deposit bonds and/or claims that are needed on previous accounts and ensure accounts are sent to collections within the required time frame.
  • Complete all payment/collection functions related to move-ins, move-outs, renewals, evictions, etc.
  • Manage and maintain assigned sites delinquent accounts daily according to policy. Communication will include but not limited to; phone calls, automated notices, manual notices, and eviction filings.
  • Maintain general working knowledge of state laws with respect to collection of delinquent accounts.
  • Process and manage all current and previous payment plans according to policy.
  • Perform and assist in property audits as needed.
  • Identify trends, issues, or areas of concern related to processes and procedures.
  • Support property management teams and residents by responding to internal support tickets, requests, and inquiries in a timely, respectful, and thorough manner.
  • Build and maintain a partnership with the onsite team to ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

  • At least (3) years experience in property management, Multifamily is preferred.
  • Training experience – proficient in training methodologies, curriculum development, and soft skills (communication skills, critical thinking, time management, team building, etc.)
  • Must have “big” picture focus in both departmental and company strategies.
  • Excellent creative and conceptual thinking abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to understand, use, and manage self-emotions in positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges, and defuse conflict
  • Plan, develop, and provide training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
  • Ability to have difficult conversations or manage conflict effectively.
  • Computer literate with in-depth knowledge of MS office and web-based systems; visual aids technology.
  • Strong history of executing the vision of senior management,
  • Strong organizational, planning, project management, problem resolution, communication, presentation, facilitation, and influencing skills required.
  • Strong people management and leadership skills.
  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail/level of quality, communication (written and verbal), and guest service skills.
