Lantower Residential is growing and we are currently hiring for a Development Associate in Austin, TX. The Development Associate will play an important role in managing multiple aspects of the multifamily land acquisition and development life cycle. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a direct impact on the development of the business and be an integral member of the development team.


  1. Support and shepherd multiple phases of the development process including: land acquisition, due diligence, and securing necessary approvals/entitlements.
  2. Assist in sourcing and securing land sites for development.
  3. Maintain pro forma projections for development opportunities.
  4. Prepare internal investment presentation materials.
  5. Monitor pay requests and payment receipt of 3rd party work.
  6. Coordinate meeting scheduling, documenting meeting minutes, and file organization as needed.
  7. Forecast and manage project budgets.
  8. Assist in the day-to-day management of development projects including the oversight of project consultants.
  9. Assist in negotiating and drafting contract terms and scope with design consultants and contractors.
  10. Assist Project Manager in the creation of recurring project status reports for stakeholders.
  11. Collaborate with entire Development Team for all development-related responsibilities.
  12. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all deliverables relating to active or planned developments.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field is required.
  • 5-10 years of experience in commercial real estate.
  • Experience and knowledge of multifamily development or land feasibility.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including building models and data analysis. Microsoft Project or Smartsheets experience desired.
  • A strong analytical thought process with sound judgement and a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work effectively in a small team and contribute to areas beyond the direct scope of responsibility.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills, results-driven, with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
